Anderson Monogatari (The Tales of Hans Christian Anderson) was produced by Toei, and was televised on the Fuji Network from January 3, 1971 to December 26, 1971. 51 episodes were produced. The show featured anime versions of the fairy tales collected by HCA.
What makes these cels special is the fact that they are all hand-inked! (This must have been one of the last shows to be hand-inked, as most studios were using the xerography method by the early 70's.) Hand-inked cels have very sharp linework, unlike the more rough linework that results from the xerography method.
Some of these cels include pencil sketches. If a cel has a sketch, expect it to be hopelessly adhered to the cel.....
All of the episode titles were translated back from Japanese. The original "English" names to each story may be slightly different....
